WoW’s Thanksgiving Pilgrim Holiday means POWERLEVELING!

WoW’s Thanksgiving Pilgrim Holiday means POWERLEVELING!

cornucopiaI could honestly give a rat’s ass about the achievements anymore, it’s an aspect of the game that while fun and rewarding – plays too harshly on my completest nature and I enjoy the light of day and the touch of my wife too much to fall back into that trap.

Anyway, I took another glance and it seems one of the achievements and key driving forces behind this entire week long event is cooking as a profession. Through VERY VERY CHEAP MATERIALS you can get your cooking skill from 1 to 300 in about 20 minutes or so. I did it on my character and it makes getting past the soul crushing pain in the ass that is Azeroth cooking range into a walk in the park.

You’ll be making stuffing that requires spice bread (learned at level 1) and some holiday herbs. That stays orange and 100% chance to skill up until you get to the next recipe, and so on and so forth. The only time at all that you have to really work for the skill is when you get to the 280 point when you need to have Wild Turkeys that I luckily had a bunch of.

  1. True, i did it for the cooking boost too. On my char that i play now im just lvl 30 so i cant get expert cooking, if i could i could learn 300+ cooking as the turkey starts from 280 and its orange! So i guess I iwll not have problem cooking turkeys to 325 at least!

  2. Level 15 here with 325 cooking. As an extreme oldschooler, this is pretty fucking unheard of for me.

  3. I have 4 80s and only bothered to bring ONE of them to fishing/cooking max because of the time committment.

Yesterday, I took full advantage of the easy/cheap grind. AMG! I’ve never hunted that much turkey in my life!!!! Working on the Meta for the title “the Pilgrim” I managed to pocket something like 80 turkeys PER TOON!

I think Blizz is starting to realize the grind for fishing and cooking was so attrocious that we needed boosters now. You’ll notice theres a big emphasis on fishing in patch 3.3 with the derby stuff.

Oh, and is this a sign that Spooner is playing regularly now that Aion isn’t as much of a distraction? lol.
