Warrior

Warriors can be a raging berserker or an iron-clad juggernaut, capable of withstanding tremendous attacks while protecting their allies from harm. They have a wide variety of attacks that do everything from cripple their enemies, to dealing massive amounts of damage in a single retaliatory blow, and enhancing their allies’ fighting ability with battle shouts. They excel at fighting multiple opponents at once, gaining rage from every blow dealt or received to unleash their attacks. Warriors are a versatile class with a variety of play-styles to choose from.

With the Wrath of the Lich King the warrior class has received some really interesting changes that have made it an even more powerful class than before.

Arms: Still considered the best PVP tree, arms warriors are masters of weaponry. The tree yields different specializations for all types of two handed weapons (polearms, maces, axes, swords) and the widely feared and coveted Mortal Strike debuff that forms the backbone of many a PVP battle. Arms warriors can still pump out solid DPS for groups and raids but they truly shine in PVP especially with their new 51pt talent Bladestorm that makes the warrior spin and whirlwind about in a frenxzy unable to be stopped while slicing everybody in melee range with his massive weapon.

Fury: Fury warriors are the raging berserkers, the ruthless maniacs rushing head first into battle with a massive two-handed weapon held in each hand! Fury warriors have always been incredible damage dealers in groups and though they take considerable damage, can dish out twice as much just as fast. Fury warrior’s bloodthirst ability is a testament to their ferocity in combat as they can heal themselves and continue to bring blow after shattering blow down on their victims.

Protection: Protection warrior are the stalwart tanks, the front line barricade of armor and spikes that seperates the mob or boss from the rest of the party. For a long time protection warriors were pretty much all about mitigating damage and not the best for leveling or even PVP. Now in Wrath of the Lich King, that’s completely changed. Prot warriors are dishing out superior damage with shield slams and revenge critical strikes. The new Shockwave ability (51pt talent) can crit for upwards of 3000 damage and stun all targets in a cone in front of the warrior. Warbringer is quite possibly the most fun PVP ability in the game right now for warrior as it allows him to charge while in combat in any stance.

Wowhead has a really great talent calculator where you can experiment with new builds for your Warrior.

  1. woa; very usefull…

aint it a copy/paste from the original website?

    tssk ;(

  2. not really. the initial paragraph that gives a general definition of the class is from the official site. I mentioned that in the main class page. but the rest of it I wrote. I figure why am I going to just take what was said perfectly and try to bullshit it into something else when what blizzard has stated as the definition of the class fits just right as is?
