This is getting expensive. I mean seriously fucking crazy here. Am I a bipolar Paladin?
When doing daily quests, leveling, even farming and grinding I can do it easily as a protection paladin. I pump out wonderful DPS considering my role, and I am asked (sometimes to the point of real annoyance) to tank something every few seconds. I have a reputation as a tank and so I’m met with strange looks and very loud laughs when I say “Sorry I’m ret at the moment.”
Trying to PVP as a protection paladin is pretty much nonexistent simply because of the mana return issue and not being able to deal enough solid burst DPS to put most players down. I was in Wintergrasp last night during prime time and it was insane. It felt good to smash that much ass in one sitting, but looking back I would have never been able to pull it off as a protection paladin.
According to the achievements/statistics tab I’m running over 29 talent respecs and somewhere around 1000g+ in expenses. I think tonight I’ll try staying protection but using all my savage saronite gear and try a different play style. Anybody else find themselves going crazy with having to respec to do two things regularly?
actually i’m enjoying not having to respec… lvl 80 prot warrior.. i have a good chunk of naxx 10 gear so that probably helps but out questing/dailys and such i can sustain about 1200dps.. sure its not amazing but i down most mobs in 4-5 hits… plus i can solo most lvl 80+ elite mobs outside instances and still stay above 80% hp… and being prot in PVP gives me access to some fun stuff.. I <3 warbringer… incombat charge,concusion blow stun, shock wave stun, chance for revenge stun, serious amounts of HP,dodge,parry, block, staying in defensive stance makes disarm more useable. ontop of all of that enraged regeneration, shield wall, last stand on short cooldowns turn what used to be oshit im out numbered and almost dead.. into LOL you almost had me…almost… +honor
god I hate you, I miss my warrior every time I PVP and every time you reply XD keep up the good fight man, I wish protection paladins had some of the tools a prot warrior does for mobility and PVP
bless you for actually lvl’n a pally spoon that the one class i couldnt make it past lvl 10. apply seal unleash seal rinse repeat. i never made it past that part.. i love my warrior its just faster paced. and god help every one if you have a healer on you..

Ths scary part is there are 10 classes…I don’t have a Warrior or Rogue, and my Paladin is stuck (prolly forever) at 30. I’m doing double duty on Mage (this time fire) and Druid (this time feral)?!? Someone please smack me. I also have yet to level up (375) a blacksmith or engineer.

Dude i am literaly is the exact same spot as you are in. I have a really good dps set and i can quest easily as prot but i prefer to do anything outside instances as ret. i hate it ive gotten 30 srespecs and over 1kg spent like you said since the achievment system came out, i love my pally but its so frustrating to keep switching and if the “dual spec” comes out i wonder what will come with it, hopefully somthing like frost presence so we can deal wayy better dps and tank exactly like a dk just holy pwnage, DK’s are to annoying and i dont want to become a dk like the rest of ppl in wotlk, i like the setup in my bars, they should make it so theres a shield spec or DW spec like wars just shield or dw’s. anyway you play alliance or horde?
