The Daily Spoon: Tentative Monday Wrapup & Site News for September 22nd

So it’s been a relatively short day so far, the news is obviously slow going as we’re all busy preparing for the expansion and testing out the latest Wrath of the Lich King Beta build of 8790. So I wanted to take this very momentary lull in the madness to address a few issues as well as give a quick recap of today’s posts.

First off, I haven’t done a Monday comic post today because Cru’s comic is still DOWN. The people at Drunk Duck must be eating paint-chips today like the world’s ending because I haven’t been able to see squat all morning. Though there is a new DLC and Flintlocke, it feels weird posting a comic article without Cru there to shower me in breasts and pot humor.

Secondly, you might have noticed the Zugg Gaming ad is now sitting pretty at the top right hand of your screen. I was approached by Zuggy a while ago about advertising on the site and I couldn’t be happier. Just to keep this site a live (and food for my kids) I’ve had to put ads up since day 1.

A lot of the time I really didn’t like most of the content, so I take any chance I get to steer away form the more tacky looking stuff. Zuggy was gracious enough to hook me up with a copy of his gold making guide and let me tell you, the damn thing works. There’s no scam, no catch, no bullshit. I was actually really surprised, since I always took the position that guides like this were crap and never worked. I was wrong in this case completely.

So now that I’ve got enough for my budding hunter’s epic flight and my death knight’s as well; I’m going to actually spend more time leveling my hunter and recruiting for the guild (we’re still recruiting by the way, Altar of Storms – US, Horde, message Bigwolf)

There are other site updates on the way that will go live before I head off to Blizzcon this year.

• Spooncraft video channel for Blizzcon footage. It won’t be DirecTV quality obviously but it’s free, and you get to see me stumbling around in a substance induced stupor in California woo!
  
• I’m trying to get either a forum or a Twitter-esque type deal going on with the site for updates from the road. That’s looking real promising right now.
• A legitimate, working, less craptastic gallery.
