The PVP Circuit: Raiding Ironforge

The PVP Circuit: Raiding Ironforge

Part of the big city raid circuit, Ironforge is usually the very start or very end of most runs. Typically though it’s the end. With the terrible crap that’s been happening all weekend, this was my little silver lining. The group started out in the Barrens (the origin of world PVP for most Horde) and marched across to Darkshore. I remember way back when if you turned on world defense chat that astrannar was under attack pretty much constantly.

From Darkshore you can take a scenic boat ride to the Exodar and commence the beatings. Another romantic boat ride later you’re in gloomy Darnassus killing some uppity bitch that does a cheap Starfall, killing ignorant melee DPS that doesn’t know to move away.

Another boat ride (thank you Blizzard) takes you to gorgeous Stormwind, there you make an orphan out of that little snot kid and claim the throne for the Horde. I came in around the time we all invaded the Deeprun Tram and rushed Ironforge. Most fun I’ve had in a long time.

I guess the point of this post was to relive what 40man raids were like. A complete massive cluster fuck on your screen that makes most video cards cry in agony.
