Pandaren Model Added to WoW
It’s just being added as a new mini-pet, don’t panic. I doubt it’s being “tested” as a race right now with the announcement of Worgen and Goblin being so recent, but it’s nice to see them getting some WoW treatment. Pandaren would make a nice neutral race now that Goblins might be less accepted around the Alliance all together.

/sneeze.
Bless you
panda… … … maybe some bamboo plantations for the chinese farmers?
I’ve been playing WoW since alpha, I have a very similar story to that of spooner’s. I’ve raided since vanilla and have only recently quit playing right after ulduar / WoW got boring. I recently discovered spooncraft.com and now I check it daily. I love the site, keep up the good work! I look back at WoW and see how much time i invested into that game and it makes me appreciate what a really great game it has been… But now I’m seeing all this new trash coming out for the game and it’s just turning me off more and more to even considering playing WoW again. I come to spooner’s site and see kung fu panda being implemented into WoW and it makes me want to punch blizzard straight in the balls for making a great game garbage for the sake of profit. It kind of makes me sad =(. I just hope Aion, even with it’s spell / attack animation issue will be a game that can replace WoW for me entirely. I’ll be in the upcoming week long beta and I’ll definitely test it out then.
well in defense of the pandaren, I was wondering where they went to since the game launched =\ i mean they were some what a key part in the horde missions on WC3. Weather or not players want to accept them as a true face in WoW usually has to do with their lack of appearance in the older games. But as for the pandarens being launched as pets. Personally I wouldn’t mind seeing pandamonium being launched as a shits and giggles city =P
Remember they are part of lore, even if it is a rather small chunk, it comes from a very important chunk which brought about the HORDE instead of just a bunch of orcs and goblins fighting against the humans.
They are setting the stage for a future playable race and the new Monk class.
First off id like to say that i have been visiting your page multiple times a day since u began
covering Aion. I am an all around gamer playing WoW, Diablo, Guildwars, Counter-strike ect,
and i really appreciate your in depth reviews about Aion and World of Warcraft. Within the last
couple months i have decided to not play WoW ever again. After playing since Feb 05 the game
has notably deteriorated for one reason or another.
What I’m trying to get to here is that i have played Guildwars on and off in between WoW and
I think that it is important to use guildwars in comparison to Aion as well as WoW. People
continue to mention the spell casting / attack actions in Aion, which happens to be very similar
to Guildwars. Anyone who has played Guildwars for any length of time may remember that
it is very difficult to cancel a spell or attack, usually requiring a double tap or continually
tap or try to move. it is not a bug in the game or issue it is something that is similar to Guildwars
game play which perhaps Aion uses a similar system of combat. People that beta test these
should be reporting that its an issue, if the game makers do not take it out its meant to be that way.
From my point of view it keeps you from accidentally canceling a spell cast, also it could be a window of opportunity to another player in pvp for example. Lastly in Guildwars on cast it takes
mana / energy immediately so you do not usually want to cancel your spells. So if it does the same thing in Aion it makes sense to be more difficult to cancel your spell, unlike in wow you can
continuously try to cast a spell and cancel it without losing mana.
Maybe in future reviews cover the spell casting and whether or not mana is used when you cancel
a spell. Since a lot of people who are interested in Aion are comparing it to World of warcraft you
should seriously compare the spell casting systems for mana users.
I just wanted to say at the end of this keep up the great reviews of Aion and future games they
are very well done and descriptive. The info in your articles and videos is generally unbiased and
i very much appreciate it. I come to your site the most out of all the people reviewing Aion or other games, The small humor is great makes me laugh keep that going. Thanks
