New Patch 3.2 Children’s Week in Dalaran
Better late than never right? We knew about these extra pets and files back in Patch 3.1 before Children’s Week was released but I guess it wasn’t done in time for the holiday and Blizzard didn’t want to push it back and screw things around anymore this year with the calendar. Just as was expected you can visit the Eventide in Dalaran and speak to a new Orphan Matron there. She will direct you to the typical series of quests where you can adopt an Oracle or a Wolvar child.
so will this go live with 3.2 or will we have to wait until next year’s holiday?
I’m sure it’s going to go live when the patch does and then next year it’ll come out when it was originally intended.
No pet though, just gold. Bummer.
I think you get a pet, pretty sure you get a pet, I’ll raise fucking hell if there’s no pet.
From what I was reading at WoW Insider — no pet.

Game files show curious oracle and curious wolvar pet spells. They aren’t the same as the ones connected to summoning your orphan Roo and Kekek. The PTR has been up for less than 24 hours. Just keep an eye out and I’ll let you know when it’s been fleshed out.
I’m toying with loading it up and doing those quests just to find out. =)

Okay, just completed the Dalaran Children’s Week stuff — you do not get a pet as a quest turn in, just some gold.

Doh! I got tired of the PTR crashing every five minutes and deleted it.
Let me see if I can reinstall it tonight. I think I still have the downloader. =)
yeah I haven’t deleted it but getting constantly disconnected by mousing over things is pretty good at making me not log on.

BTW — it must be rough to be an orphan in the WoWiverse — I mean, dude, he got MAILED to me!

For the Dalaran orphan quests, you get your pet in the mail! I got min almost immediately after, it came with the letter from my oracle orphan.
