Buggy Quests: Shoot ‘em Up!

One of the easiest and most god awful annoying quests you can do daily in the game would be Shoot ‘em Up. The Leaper gives this daily quest out for the Knights of the Ebon Blade so you have to complete the series of quests at the Shadow Vault to get the little base unlocked. Phasing is awesomesauce.

Let’s talk about this quest a little bit; it grants the typical 13g 23s from most daily quests and 250 rep with Knights of the Ebon Blade. You’re asked to fly over to the vrykul village and man one of the gun turrets. Basically you have to pew pew at the proto-drakes and their riders as they fly by like Duck Hunt and down 20 of them. The harpoons seem to explode randomly and your gun runs out of energy rather quickly. In short; I hate this quest sometimes.

There is a slight issue with this as sometimes (completely freaking random) the gun will NOT turn to the left. You can shoot at anything within the far right and somewhat down the middle but that’s it, and even using the guns to the far left of the platform doesn’t help as you’re aiming mostly at the other guns and not the drakes. The Bug Report forums right now aren’t letting me search for topics (probably because of the maintenance) but I have to hope this is a known issue although I have yet to see a blue post on it. since the gun works like a vehicle I guess it will be addressed when Blizzard fixes all the vehicle problems.

No left turning, the harpoons shoot where you aim maybe 15% of the time and the flak explosion is tricky. You could shoot a harpoon straight up a drake rider’s ass and still not hit it.

    bugged?
I assumed it was part of the restriction on the turrent. I pick a turrent on either side to get the most out of the cross fire range, and shoot for dear life regardless if its my tag or not. My Adsl has improved my lagg a little but I find it best to shoot where its going to be rather then where it is even if it means wasting 1 or two darts for targetting gaging, and of course – don’t be shy group up… alot quicker..
