Kenzi scored these pictures a while back but it didn’t get the attention I think it deserved. Vordrassil looks to be a pretty creative place and as far as lore goes it’s a nice little branch (no pun intended) in the whole World Tree arc.
Nordrassil was the big bad World Tree we all know from the major lore story of Azeroth, the Night Elves, The Burning Legion, and so forth. It’s still there in present day Hyjal and you see it in the T6 25-man raid as well where you fight Archimond.
Now Teldrassil is the FAILED project of the Night Elf Druids (staghelm is a twat) trying to remake a World Tree so they could have their immortality. Vordrassil is the Furbolgs atempt at the same task. Obviously as you can see from the images, it broke. I’d like to see more of these kinds of World-esque places. For all the kingdoms and races and civilizations, I’d like to see more of the natural Azeroth. Things that are eternal and naturally occuring and yet to be conquered by modern races like the Emerald Dream, the Elemental Plane, and so forth. Maybe Ildrassil.

Vordrassil was also created by druids, but sensing the corruption attack on its roots they destroyed it. However, furbolgs made their capital there and being corrupted by the same evil as Vordrassil they try to seed a new tree (quest chain to burn the little tree) so the evil can spread.
