The Daily Spoon: Blood for the Bloodgod

Let me tell you, leveling a Death Knight is not going to be for everyone. But it’s definitely for me. I tried Frost for a little while, then Unholy, but my heart’s in Blood (no pun intended). There is little to no downtime, at Lv. 58 I was killing 61 mobs as if they were green to me, and as soon as you get a good rotation down then you’re pretty much set. However there are some really serious down sides that nobody will talk about because right now the cool kids are all saying “It’s overpowered lol this is great hurr hurr!”

Fighting anything immune to diseases pretty much sucks ass, and any feeling of overpoweredness is gone. Having your strikes miss/dodge/parry often is aggrivating but that’s solved through gear, though still suffering from warrior syndrom only you don’t have overpower to compensate.

The rune/runic power system is not really all that simple. Rogues for example and Warriors are easy to learn but very hard to master. Death Knights are moderate to learn and hard to master. Having to balance rune cost and cooldowns and then work in other moves that need runic power but can be crucial (like mind freeze which is pretty much Earth Shock). But I’m starting to rant.

Today’s Menu!

  • More discussion on tanking in Wrath of the Lich King.
  • Many Hunter class changes.
  • Lesser Heals and the down-ranking changes.
  • Paladin, Priest, Warrior, and Death Knight changes as well.

I was willing to wait to play a DK on live, but now I’m starting to want the head start on DK play and the DK initial leveling areas…

that and I’m just so excited to play one!
