New Incription profession explored for Wrath of the Lich King.

Let’s keep the train rolling folks, there’s a bevy of more information coming out regarding the expansion pack: Wrath of the Lich King. As well there are TONS of blue posts I will be bringing you later today. I want to give them time to flesh out a bit. Here are some juicy bits about the new Inscriptions profession as well as plans for other professions in game.

Inscription

  • Inscribers will create glyphs that allow players to modify their spells and abilities. (Eurogamer.net) We knew this.
  • Going by the first recipe, which requires Peacebloom, they’ll rely on the herbalist gathering profession. (Eurogamer.net) This is new, potential for crazy power leveling of Inscriptions: HIGH.
  • Every player will get a new spell book page to which they can add six glyphs - currently, four major and two minor. (Eurogamer.net) Smart way to implement the change.
  • Major glyphs will be effective in combat - adding damage over time or stun to a physical attack, for example - while minor glyphs will give convenient or cosmetic improvements, removing the need for some spell reagents. (Eurogamer.net) If I can ressurect without an Ankh I think I will fill the cup. It’d be nice too to have a stun mechanic added to Stormstrike /grin
  • Glyphs can be sold at the Auction House (Eurogamer.net) YES! Thank you GOD!

Enchanting
Allowing enchanters sell their enchantments at the Auction House is still planned.(Eurogamer.net) AHH! TWO FOR ONE! I don’t have to scroll through Trade channel spam anymore begging for enchants!
