Everybody is looking for some flavor with their mounts. It’s just a matter of fact. There’s been a major buzz with mounts ever since the old days farming Baron for an undead steed. Now we have a Tiger and Raptor from Zul’Gurub (ridiculously easy to farm now albeit very time consuming) as well as the Raven God mount from Heroic Sethekk Halls if you have a druid with the key to summoning him. Most recently in Zul’Aman if you manage to make the timed event, you can own your very own armored bear mount for BEAR CAVALRY!
We even have a Spectral Tiger and Land Turtle mount available from the trading card game (and soon giant Acme rockets as flying mounts too). In patch 2.4 we’re getting another special treat; Kael’thas in Magister’s Terrace will drop an epic White Hawkstrider. So now all of us (except Draenei and Tauren. We’re too hefty to ride the pretty chocobo.) will have a chance to skirt around the battlefield on war chickens! Be ready for the grind though, we can safely assume that it’s going to be a very rare drop.
