Stupid stupid children. Honestly, this kid is a dumbass and I hope they make his ass pickup trash on the freeway for a few million hours of community service. I saw this story on WoW Insider a little while ago and thus am compelled to share it here.
In Fairfield, Ohio some 17 year old glue sniffing punk kid decides he’s going to throw a hissy fit at one of the GMs for World of Warcraft. He claimed he was suicidal and the only thing he had left to live for was the game. One can only assume he was being a smartass or cheating and thus got his account banned. According to the Middletown Journal, the Blizzard rep contacted the local authorities (most likely using account information for the address if not tracking the IP) and police arrested the teenager at his home.
This sort of thing is actually a first degree misdemeanor crime. Being a minor he was released to his father, but has a court date to face sometime next week. Here’s the best part ladies and gentlemen are you ready? Taadaa! You guessed it! He wasn’t suicidal, when questioned he told police officers it was a joke in order to “get what he wanted for the game”
I sincerely hope that this doesn’t shed a negative light on the game itself because of some dumbass kid trying to one up the system. There are people out there with real problems that need help. When somebody uses suicide as a tool to get attention or other gains, it really makes me ill.
