Spooncraft

I got a few questions sent my way and figured that this would be a great idea for a little section. I’ll try to update it every Monday, so without further adieu~ it’s time to ask the Spoon.

Ahh yes, Spooner. There is a little story behind my name but the short version is, Spooner is what I named my first end game character. I had played a dwarf warrior named Bababui for a while with my friends until about level 50 way back when the game for came out and I didn’t know anything about talent builds or game mechanics.

I was dating a girl that refered to me as a “Spooner” for reasons I won’t go into on this website. At the same time the movie I-Robot came out and Will Smith’s character was detective Spooner. The finaly nail in the triple threat coffin was when i was running through an instance and for no reason what os ever decided to type /spoon. Lo and behold, the emote “You snuggle up against so and so.” came up in the chat box.

I logged out, created a human warrior named Spooner, vendored everything on my dwarf right that second, sent all I had left to Spooner, and the rest is history.  Over time the name stuck with me. My mother and father in law call me Spoon or Spooner, my friends call me Spooner (or Rick), and as soon as the state of Florida approves it my license plate will say “Spooner” too.
