This is how PVP normaly feels.
This video really made me laugh because it brought back some memories. Back in classic WoW me and my buddies used to get together every other week and throw a little LAN party at somebody’s house. Usually meant heavy drinking, modded out Unreal Tournament, and then Starcraft or WoW group PVP. Some of the most [...]
Ressurection Timers & why they exist.
I agree with Blizzard, although 2 minutes can be FOREVER in a combat situation. Ever play Planetside? There’s about 40 people spawning at the same time every few seconds and a few people in some heavy arms can pretty much own the battle until you get pissed and logoff. We have to wait to rez [...]
Will Season 3 non-set items stay available?
There’s a pretty big argument going on that the face of PVP has been changed forever and I agree. I posted about it much earlier but here are some more details reitterated for the sake of anybody who might have missed it. I like my PVP, I like world PVP and fighting in the battlegrounds. [...]
More new rules for Arena in Patch 2.4.2
In lieu of all the other changes to the arena coming up in Patch 2.4.2 they have added another rule. If a team does not enter an arena match that is starting they will lose points equal to the amount that would have been deducted if they had played and lost. This change makes it [...]
Quick news update: Epic Gems for badges, Sunwell quest changes, and new PVP trinket.
A while back there was a bug on the official armory website where it was displaying the epic gems available for 10 badges each. Checking the PTRs that was indeed false as they are still 15 badges per and about 43 gold per pattern from Shaani.
Also there’s a new trinket available for honor points but [...]
Arena Tournament Realms: Lag issues, Practice time, and so forth.
People are having problems with the new Arena Tournament realms obviously, there is bad lag and problems registering for play. As well with time ticking away and all the issues going on it’s making a lot of players very upset. Ordinn has been working on reporting updates to the player’s concerns.
We will most likely extend [...]
New PVP daily quests in 2.4
Here you go folks, screenshots of the three new PVP daily quests. Me thinks that honor is going to be ridiculously less tedious to grind up when Patch 2.4 drops. Thanks mo’champs for the better resolution screens.
The Daily Spoon: Is the game getting too easy?
I just thought about posting a simple question: Is the game getting too easy? I see a lot of mouth breathers letting the filth of the world fall from the gaping maws all over the test realm forums. Mostly it’s a bunch of crying and whining about the changes Blizzard is making in 2.4 regarding [...]
Screenshots of the new blue PVP sets
Along with all the other changes going on in 2.4, Blizzard added an entire PVP set that can be purchased with gold from reputation vendors throughout Outland. Essentially you need to have honored or better reputation with all the typical factions (lower city, cenarion expedition, sha’tar, etc) to buy each piece. It is a 5 [...]
New Battleground quest in 2.4!
One of the major issues people have with the honor system is that you get a lot more tokens than you need. They only stack up to 100 and any more you earn by either winning or losing in a BG are mailed to your character. In the good ole days, there was a quest [...]
2+2=1? Issues with estimated honor and bugs
Granted all of this funk with estimated honor not reflecting reality the next day is going to go away when 2.4 goes live; but for the sake of argument Drysc and co. hit the forums yesterday with this assurance regarding the problem.
What happens is, you PVP all day long, your ESTIMATED honor earned says something [...]
Exploiting Part 3: Honor Botting
Grinding for Honor in the BGs has been something that most players are pretty sick of by now. Before the initial revamping of the honor system, grinding to get to the highest rank was something that was either controlled through manipulation of the system or through complete and utter self destruction in playing [...]
