I honestly stopped using my Carrot on a Stick once I got my epic mount. That precious trinket slot was for my PVP trinket that (being raised on a PVP server) never leaves my side unless I’m in a 5 man dungeon or raid instance.  So Blizzard is just flat out killing them. I wonder [...]

Everybody at some point has had the Carrot on a Stick trinket from Zul’farak questing. It’s like a right of passage for WoW players. But with all the new changes and the idea that Blizzard wanted to do away with the mount speed trinkets all together; what will happen to them?

I’m sorry but this crap is just funny. I’ve deleted items in the past that through clever use of game mechanics I could be using right now to do some pretty silly things. The Carrot on a Stick though is far from eternally useful when you have things like Riding Crops and the Skybreaker Whip.

I mentioned this earlier today; the trinkets in game that increase your mount speed will become enchants (like armor kits) that you can use on mount instead of trinkets that take up a slot. Here is the first example of the changes on the PTRs.
