Good news.
There is going to be a big focus on BGs for Cataclysm, including the ability to get the best PvP gear from rated BGs.

BB unearthed the models and textures for the next set of arena gldiator gear and I have to say, I’m pretty impressed. The gear looks pretty freaking awesome especially the shaman and paladin sets. Every new build ends up showing us more and more polish and more little sneak peeks at the treasures to come. [...]

So resilience is being changed and apparently so is the way that burst is being handled. With the patch 3.2 changes coming in pretty much the crazy out of control burst is going to be toned down so players won’t be pushing so much damage, however.
