WoW Blog Meme Thing; I’m a Winner!

So I woke up today in a pretty good mood, teacher work day so I didn’t have to rise at the asscrack of dawn to take my eldest spawn to school. This allowed me a precious extra hour to remain sacked out dreaming of a life that doesn’t so closely resemble hell. Adding to my amazingly chipper mood, Gnomeageddon has honored me with an award!

Now why I would get an award based on content or site design is beyond me. This place is busted as hell and I usually just write up biased and angry tripe most of the time but you guys seem to eat it up. So in keeping with my love for a literary challenge, here’s the deal.

“This award is bestowed on a fellow blogger whose blog content or design is, in the giver’s opinion, brilliant.”

1. When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to the said person so everyone knows she/he is real.
2. Choose a minimum of seven (7) blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have seven friends. Show the seven random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with Honest Weblog. Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon.
3. List at least ten (10) honest things about yourself. Then pass it on!

I’ll start with the 10 honest things about myself. Fuck this is going to ruin me later I can tell.

1. I am the youngest person in my family to get married and have children.
2. I hate casual players, only because I hate finding such an amazing player and fun person and then only being able to play with them for 1 day of the week.
3. Spanish was my first language but I have lost it so horribly over the years that I can barely keep up conversation with my grandparents anymore, and it breaks my heart.
4. I hate living in South Florida because of the traffic, not because of the Hurricanes; and I couldn’t picture myself living anywhere else.
5. I am horribly competitive. Like, There Will be Blood competitive.
6. I used to hate PC gaming and MMOs until I started playing Phantasy Star Online and Counterstrike. I still think Halo was fucking ruined with the sequals.
7. I have almost my entire back tattooed with a giant wolf and want more, but too broke to get it done.
8. I’m overprotective of my kids, like obnoxiously so.
9. I seriously get worked up while PVP-ing to the point where I will psychically be in an altered state afterwards.
10. I am the laziest motherfucker to ever walk this earth; and I hate it. But it’s been the case for the past 25 years and it won’t change.

Ok that was harder than I thought, I think this is the last meme thing I’m going to do it’s too much work. Now I have to list and talk smack about 7 other blogs I follow.

Armageddon’s Coming: Great mage blog and an author that actually contacts me on occassion. Mages are like my vice, I’ve always wanted to play one but me and spellcaster just don’t fit in any way. Back when I first started my website, I think the first ever linkback I ever saw in my little Wp dashboard was from Gnomeageddon. Lots of love.

Bigredkitty: In all reality my first class ever was a hunter, to level 10. Then my PC died for a while. BRK is also a Floridian and us Florida people are just too badass for words so I have to share the love with him. He’s a funny and quirky author (can’t wait for the book) and he definitely knows his Huntering. I discovered BRK through WoW Insider.

Less QQ More Pewpew: Another hunter blog, this guy too knows his shit inside and out. I honestly was so surprised to find such great hunters and amazing hunter resources in a world full of the “huntard” steroetype (that pretty much makes up all of my server). I forgot how I found this blog but I am very glad I did.

Sideshow & Syrana: My wife plays a warlock but I don’t visit this site for that, I visit for pure guilty fun. It’s just fun to read, the RP stories are entertaining, the screenshot of the week is a great way to test my WoW might (and being a guru on anything and everything in this game provides the best challenge). I got brought to this site because Syrana commented on my blog and I still get floored when anybody leaves a comment.

Blog of Baron Soosdon: As far as machinimators go this guy is one of the best out there hands down. His taste in music is second to none. His ability with his art is fucking amazing. If you want to see some of the most visually pleasing and astonishing machinima out there then you have to check out Soosdon’s work. I showcase his stuff on my site as often as he puts it out and I hope he never quits!

WoW Insider: I found WoW Insider a very very long time ago. I’ve applied to write for them a few times but never made the cut, so I figured hell might as well start my own. So i guess I would say while I do check WoW insider once a day, I am including them here mainly because (other than my wife) they got me into blogging. These guys don’t know I exist lol.

Fuck You Penguin: This isn’t a WoW Blog at all, but a friend recently turned me on to it. Hands down some of the most S.S.S.F. (short, simple, stupid, fun) content on the web. If you’re bored and want to see pictures of adorable and cute baby animals and then read as a guy talks tons of trash about them, this is a great place to go.

Alright meme over, time to get back to working on the site so it doesn’t suck so much…
