Universal Tier 9 Tokens and Badge costs for 3.2

Universal Tier 9 Tokens and Badge costs for 3.2

newest-armorsI’m speechless. What a completely and unbelievably WONDERFUL idea! Why didn’t they do this back in ZG when the token concept took off? There are 3 different item levels of Tier 9 gear coming in Patch 3.2 and the new Crusaders’ Coliseum raid. That’s A LOT of tokens and many pages of possible loot. So then how will it all be managed!? Blizzard has decided that every boss in the raids will drop a universal token that counts for any armor slot of that tier set. You will be able to buy the lower quality T9 pieces for badges of triumph bu the best will drop from the heroic raid bosses.

No more waiting for those shoulder tokens, no more waiting for that one special upgrade! You will be able to build your armor set at your own pace with whatever upgrades you need the most right away.

Slot 258 245 232
Head 1 x 75 x 50 x
Hands 1 x 45 x 30 x
Chest 1 x 75 x 50 x
Legs 1 x 75 x 50 x
Shoulders 1 x 45 x 30 x

more ez-epix for the casuals =_=

  2. Spooner says:

I dig this change, it’s not easy epics; all this does is fuck with guild loot systems slightly and make it so I don’t have to farm some annoying ass boss for however the hell long in the hopes my shoulder or helm will drop. I can keep progressing through the instance and still get the piece of gear I really wanted.

  3. Dude…being a casual player doesn’t mean you should be screwed over at every opportunity. Blizzard has clued in to the fact that much of their player base doesn’t have time to grind the game for 60 hours a week. People have jobs, families, other interests — BUT THEY PAY THE SAME MONEY AS HARDCORE PLAYERS.

OMG! No! They are making something easier for those that can’t devote their lives to WoW! Perish the thought that the gaming company should try to please the majority of their customers. What kind of crazy business model is it to actually try to service the bulk of your patrons???

All levity aside this is a great idea. It is a pain in the arse to farm Naxx 25 in the HOPE that a particular tier piece will drop, for a particular group of classes, and that you’ll be lucky enough to win it through good rolling or sufficient DKP. =) I’m with Spoon, this is a great change.

Ok, I assume that the difficulty for this dungeon is going to be above Uldaur, however, being in an arean like environment, I find it puzzling that it could be harder (expecially that terrain can be the key reason for wiping a raid – think the dance or Flame Levi)… anyway before I get off subject – I wonder if a 10 man naxx outfitted team could actually clear this. I would think it would be pretty doable Maybe not easy, but doable…. I dunno, maybe I am just mistaken.

(did some quick math. Do every daily dungeon quest (heroic and non) and you’ll have the full Tier9.lowest in 70 days) :)

  5. Equillian says:

speaking of that, I’d like to try to declare that we all use T9.L, T9.M, and T9.H to rate the new armors :P maybe 9.1,2,and 3… I dunno… this is confusing… cant just use 9.3333333333333333… you know where I’m goin!

  6. Spooner says:

70 days for full t9, or 1/4th that time for half the badges and a few pieces of t9 as well. yeahhhhhhh

  7. Equillian says:

Ya, I definately like it. Good enough for casual players, but still not easy mode (so the self proclaimed hardcore people dont get too huffy)

  8. I hate how far to many players turn everything into hardcore vs casual. This doesn’t make the game any easier or faster, it doesn’t change the mechanics of a boss fight, it doesn’t buff your damage by 500%.

What this does is stop a lot of tokens going to offspec or to alts because the right token did not drop. It is a step away from stopping X Class gear from dropping when X Class is not in raid.
