The Daily Spoon: A return to PVP, the reign of terror.

I was (and still am) always a very big fan of PVP. It’s just something that always seemed exciting to me. Fighting an opponent that actually has a brain and emotion and can at time be totally unpredictable. PVP is a great way to learn the limitations and survivability of your class. I’m by no means an hardcore PVP player though let me assure you, this isn’t an e-sport for me and it sure as hell isn’t the only aspect of the game I focus on. With 2.4 I have seen a dead server come to life with world PVP and I love it.

I’ve been playing a shaman for a very long time both horde (first) then eventually alliance, it’s been a hard road after the great nerfs of the past. But Patch 2.4 has actually revitalized my love for PVP.

Being enhancement is a handicap in it’s own right but I’ve been learning to adapt and the payoff is great. The biggest motivator I’ve found are the new world PVP daily quests involving Halaa and the Bone Wastes. Ever since Patch day I’ve led 30+ man raids in Nagrand and then Terrokar to either siege Halaa or coordinate a multiple point strike on all the towers in the Bone Wastes at once. It’s been s freaking blast!

Screw the days of Tarren Mill & Southshore, there are no guard spawns or cheap escape routes, it’s flat out warfare. What’s more amazing is that the horde on my server have been manning up and actually fighting back! We get some of the best out there sometimes in full Season 3 tearing away at some of our less geared players but in the end it’s totally worth it. And the honor keeps racking up.
