PVP in Wrath of the Lich King Part 2: Strand of the Ancients new BG

BGs are some of the most fun I’ve taken part in while PVP-ing in the World of Warcraft. Oh sure people will wax poetic about the wonders of Tarren Mill and Southshore and world PVP, but honestly that fun ends after a few seconds. Now this sounds kind of crazy coming from me (being the violent advocate of world PVP that I am) but the one kicker with world PVP is that whole business of dying.

You see, dying is a lot like jello pudding, NO! Death is like Kodak film… alright that joke will stop before Bill Cosby hunts me down and kills me with a pike. But seriously, try being one of the attackers raiding Halaa for example. Die. About how far away through REALLY ANNOYING TERRAIN is the graveyard from your rotting tea-bagged carcass? Now in a battleground you die, you get rezzed, you get back to the action… the fun!

So without further yammering here is a video of the new battleground from the point of view of Jayde (who is an awesome Death Knight and all around swell person) We’ve all heard (if you read this here site of mine) that the BG is an Onslaught style (if you played Unreal Tournament) match where each team will take turns at playing attacker or defender. Attackers storm the beaches from ships and have to fight through a series of doors/walls/barriers until they capture the node at the very top of the big hill. Defenders have to obviously kill the attackers and defend the goal for X amount of time.
