Raid Lockout in Wrath of the Lich King

So with all the disclosure from the previosu weekend settling in we have a lot of information to sift through. A lot really isn’t debateable and comes across as very self explanatory. It’s the little details now that are going to be scrutinized and with good reason.

Right now pretty much all raid dungeons (with the exception of Heroic dungeons and ZA) reset on a 7-day timer. With the new system in place where 10 & 25-man raids are going to be sharing the dungeon dynamics, how will they work in regards to resets and lockouts? The whole lockout thing is a major reason people are apprehensive about pugging raids because they might get saved to a dungeon with a very unsuccessful group and then miss out on the chance to run with a better group because they can’t enter the same raid.

Bornakk gave some detail as to how this would work and there isn’t the obligatory disclaimer that it can change, but looking at it subjectively I don’t see why it would.

The current plan is to keep them separate, so if you want to run both you are welcome to do so. (src)

This translates to groups being able to run both versions (10 & 25) in the same week which will aid a lot in gearing players, building reputations, possibly building DKP (if your guild still does that)
