This is intense. This is a video of the final quest in the chain of the Death Knight starting area. The short version, you are one of the vanguards in a massive scourge army that will destroy Light’s Hope Chapel! I eat this stuff up man woot!

Update: For Alex who wanted to see the buff everybody gets while doing this quest (Death Knights only) that lets you bust out near 10k dmg crits.

Yeah the buff is called the Might of Mograin I’ll post a screenshot of it here. The flag itself is to help identify other players. There’s 1000 vs 300 NPCs here, it’s an actual battle not some half assed scripted quest.
Also the unique Death Knight portraits were voted down to kind of keep things in line with how every class looks in the UI. I guess it’s a downer because we don’t have that blade and cool kind of look. But on the upside I agree with getting rid of it because UI mods and addons out there that change the unit frames would have a fucking nightmare with this.

I’d love to get back at those asshole LHC guards for all the times they killed me way back when that place first became a neutral town. They attacked you whenever you so much as poked an Alliance flagged (I was an undead warlock at that time).

They should make an option to put it on or off in the interface options menu. Addons could use that option to automatically put the artwork off!

Yeah luckily enough though mod writers got into the beta too
there’s a couple of mods out there for us Death Knights already that allow the runes to be in the middle of the screen and another that adds the runeblade around the avatar again.
