I read this on Penny Arcade over the weekend:
If you had no externalities to manage – that is to say, if you were not a father of two, for whom sleep is a rare thing, and precious – I don’t know what could make you stop playing Borderlands. I honestly don’t know how you could sever the thick roots that seem to grow out of the screen and claim the body, whose novel barbs anesthetize and then pierce the meninges, seizing control.
I swear the guy is fucking watching me as the only reason I am even posting right now and not playing Borderlands is because I missed you bastards and I need to feel even slightly productive on a daily basis.
“Thanks for fixing the catch-a-ride station. That thing was more messed up than my momma’s girl parts.”
Think Diablo 2 meets WoW meets Call of Duty in a backwater hick alien planet. You take quests, you level up, you have talents, you have blue weapons, epic weapons, shields, special weapon enchants to augment your class skills. Yeah this is some pretty awesome shit right here. And the writing for the game (especially the voice acting) is downright legendary.
Scooter has to be my favorite fucking character in the Borderlands universe. I dearly hope he’s in the sequel (and so help me there better be if not at least some expansion downloadable content).

We seem to be following the same game trail Spooner. First Aion which I loved but am giving a rest until they sort out the bugs and stuff. And now borderlands which i think is epic. Only thing stopping me playing is work (damn you work). Would love to see this as a mmo, would work so well if done right.
Borderlands as an FPS/MMO works GREAT. If you tossed tons of people into the mix like a traditional MMO then it’ll go to shit. They already have downloadable content lined up involving zombies and such, I’m really excited to see how far they take this baby.
I have to say I was kinda sceptical with the whole borderlands thing, and while theres some things I wish theyd improve (more character/avatar customization options, more interesting talents that affect gameplay, not just stats/elemental effects) the game is the most addictive thing Ive played in a long long time. Shooting people is awesome, getting off headshots that reward you not only with a splatter of red, but a huge red CRIT and a red number to go with it, is immensely satisfying.. and the loot never stops!
It seems to be getting good sales, so its safe to say a sequel is more than likely, but for now, im happy ill be playing this all the way to the cap, ad I sure as hell will be spending the 10 bucks for the upcoming zombie island DLC.
Borderlands is epic. I am almost done with my second play through with my hunter at level 50.
On a side note, I just got Dragon Age: Origins and it is sweet.
Hahah hey Saniss, i jsut got dragon age too. And i am playing hunter on borderlands, its a marvelous class and so much fun to play. The only thing that i dont like is that when you upgrade through talents your ammo capacity, it does not show on the real weapon. Example- non upgraded sniper- 3 bullets in the gun. Upgdared- 5, but the aniumation still shows him reloading 3 bullets in the 3 bullet cylinder…kind of wicked, but so is the whole game, i love it!
Here is the cherry on top of the Borderlands wasteland cake.

The theme song, enjoy
Hey,
I’m really enjoying Borderlands as well. A fun part I found is in the begginning when the lady asks, “Would you kindly find something to repair the robot?” WOULD YOU KINDLY
WOULD YOU KINDLY!
