Proposition 69: Tea-bagging Emote in World of Warcraft – Yea or Ney

Proposition 69: Tea-bagging Emote in World of Warcraft – Yea or Ney

The act of the tea-bag has become a staple of PVP combat. It does not matter the game, from FPS, to RTS to MMO’s, if there is a way to tea-bag it will be done. The question today, fans of SpoonCraft, is should tea-bagthere be an official tea-bag emote in World of Warcraft?

Now there is already ways to tea-bag in W.O.W and many have used it to show ownage over their downed opponent. However, there are a ton of cry babies in W.O.W and even the /spit emote has been attacked for being too hard on their emotions.

The discussion isn’t new; let’s see some quotes from people on the subject of tea-bagging:

Kimmay from Boulderfist said:

/cackle and jumping on their corpse works for me… Of course, I’m not a male irl, so maybe some guys need to teabag to show their manliness…

Maybe it is a male thing or maybe it’s just funny as shit.

Mokoro from Boulderfist wrote: HEHE when I polish off a ali I teabag them in BEAR form ! ! You know how BIG bear BALLS are ! ! WOW thats gotta hurt =)

teabagI agree if there is one thing worse than being tea-bagged by a human is being tea-bagged by an animal.

So you decide with your comments, do you think there should be a tea-bag emote in World of Warcraft or leave it as it is where players can find a way to do it?

  1. Personally I hate the spit emote, and tea bagging is pointless ignorance.

So no, no tea bag emote. Not now, not two weeks from now, not 2 Expansions from now. =)

  2. “Pointless ignorance” <– Lol, haha

  3. I’m guessing that JA’s writing is supposed to be humorous but it seems so out of place for Spooncraft. After reading this article the thought that crossed my mind was “why did I was 45 seconds reading that?”

Try writing about something that matters.

  4. It took you 45 seconds and yet you typed “why did I was 45 seconds reading that” did it take you 2 seconds to write that? Good lord, I thought I was the typo king! Anyway, take a pill junior. Spoon does the serious stuff I do everything else. If it hurts your little brain then don’t click on the articles with my name. What’s matters, you say. This site is about games and the world we live in with them. You do understand this right? Ah, never mind.

  5. Regarding the tebagging emote, no I don’t think there should be one. Too many young minds play the game, and regardless of the general feedback they may get to be polite to people in RL (or mabey they don’t) they see things accepted by ‘regular culture’ everyday and start to think its acceptable. Bliz actually putting a labled teabag emote in the game sends a bad message. People will find a way to do what they want, and kids even find it rewarding to take something, like an emote, meant for another purpose and making it work to thier liking, so I think it should stay at that.

  6. Well Samadams kids taking things and changing it to there liking has already been in effect for years now. The teabagging WoW gamers already do is an example. Its meant to sit but spamming it makes it a teabagging motion. So what if theres a teabagging motion just laugh at it, its a game. If a fragile little mind cant deal with a simple orange little sentence then they shouldnt be on the game prolly anyways. Theres a shit ton more things out in the world that will fuck up a kids mind worse then WoW will.

  7. /tb or /teabag

i would vote yes… it’s a staple of our raid time boredome when the RL AFKs to jack off and cry

we also need something to do to the bodies of those asswhores who decide they’re too good to release and run back like the rest of us.
