Borderlands: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned

borderlands dlc splash

Borderlands is the type of game where there is so much silly shit and good writing that you wonder how ridiculous it’ll get. You all know I like it and with good reason, it’s a good game. Their first batch of downloadable content is due to come out tomorrow for the consoles and hopefully sometime this fucking year for us PC gamers. That right there is about the only complaint I have with the game, PC gamers as always are getting shit all over which is double ironic because the FPS genre and the RPG genre started on the goddamn PC not on a fucking console.

Here’s the new official page and there you can score screenshots and eventually a trailer which I will be posting here as well in case your firewall blocks it.

  1. i prefer pc, by the time you convince your wife/gf/lover/partner/hoe to let you spend your hard earned money on a console that costs more than your couch, the manufacturer has already come out with console version 2 and stopped making games for version 1 which you’ve already paid for with no return policy. fuck!

a pc will brick less often

  2. @Nuurdie: While I agree with you on pinciple that games such as borderlands are better played on pc (mouse and keyboard ftw) the notion that consoles outdate faster than PCs and end up costing you more, is ridiculous. You can get an xbox 360 for 200 bucks nowadays, and the average console has a 5-7 year lifespan. Id like to see you play Borderlands on a 6 year old Pc. Enjoyable? Not much.

PCs will always be at the forefront of gaming, but if you want to enjoy games at high to max detail, PC gaming is NOT a cheap hobby, certainly not less so than console gaming. I update my PC every 2-3 years, whereas my PS2 lasted me about 7 years (I wasnt an early adopter), and cost me half of a single PC update. Ofc I use my Pc for much more than jsut gaming, so its value is tenfold that of a console, but still, its not cheaper by any stretch of the imagination.

  3. There is another thing- pc games cost less thenconsole games. Here is an example- Dragon Age PC- 37.99 eur, Dragon Age PS3/XBOX- 56.99, so in the long term, if u are hardcore gamer, having a console might proove more expensive then upgrading a PC. I have a PC and usually spend about 100 euros per year on upgrades and this keeps my pc up to date with the latest games on the market. Maybe im a PC fanboy , dont know but i would always prefer the PC for its multi use.
