Five, five, five dollar Warcraft

Five, five, five dollar Warcraft

For this weekend only you can own your very own copy of World of Warcraft for the price of a cold cut combo. Here’s the release from World of Warcraft.com.product

Get your holiday shopping done early and give the gift of Warcraft for only $5. In celebration of WoW’s five year anniversary, we’re making both the boxed version and the digital version of World of Warcraft available for $5 this weekend only when you purchase through the Blizzard Online Store. We’ll also be making the World of Warcraft Battle Chest available for only $19.99 (this is sold only as a physical box).

Digital media has been big this black friday with deals such as Dragonage for $37 on Steam and special deals on songs and videos from Itunes. It is no surprise to see Blizzard get in on the act with this special and considering the revenue of W.O.W and the giant payday their parent company, Activision receive with, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, this special offer is nothing more than a stocking stuffer. Still, it is nice to see them do it and for anyone on the planet that doesn’t play W.O.W maybe now is a good time to start.

  1. Except that it would be, “Five. Five dollar. Five dollar Warcraft.”

    Good effort though.
