Wrath of the Lich King Beta 9038 Class Changes Highlights

Alrighty folks sorry for the later start, it’s a Saturday monring spoon here and I’m a little out of it yet but let’s roll with this regardless. Last night I decided NOT to post all the new class change information because in the past if I report these kinds of things right the second they drop, something changes and I look like a jackass afterwards.

It was a pretty light patch with few changes but some are really significant so here I’ll just lay out the ones I think people are doing backflips over.

  • Warriors, Death Knights, and Druids Taunt now has a 20 yard range.
  • Enhancement Shaman got buffed back to where they were but got some tweaks to prevent DW mage syndrome. Also Imp. Fire Nova totem doesn’t stun anymore.
  • Enveloping Shadows for Sub Rogues got buffed by 50%.
  • Disc. Priests got some talents swapped so you might see more priests with Imp. Fort now.
  • Divine Plea for Paladins was nerfed from 100% mana back to 25% mana back. Yeah that was a little OP i think still.
  • Resto Druid’s Wild Growth was buffed significantly, while armor in Moonkin and Dire Bear was dropped to 370% instead of 400%.
  • Death Knights got buffs across the board and Rune Strike was changed to be a tanking ability that does stupid high damage. Also Frost Strike got buffed like a mofo and so did Heart Strike. Scourge Strike got slapped in the face. No complaints here.
