Five years of WoW. After at least a few more months I’ll come back to Azeroth but for now, any longer and the whole world would have been reduced to ash under my immense burnout. That doesn’t mean I’m not following the game like a madman still, just not spending every waking moment on it like a lot of other folks.
So where do you fall in the following little list?
Just having an active account register’s you for the contest, here’s a list of all the prizes (which are actually pretty damn amazing):
First Week (Accounts created on or before October 26, 2008)
5 Taverncraft “Charge of the Great Dragonflights” stein.
Second Week (Accounts created on or before November 2, 2007)
5 Gunnar Optiks PPK Gaming Glasses (strangely enough with a lower retail value than the steins…)
Third Week (Accounts created on or before November 9, 2006)
7 ASUS ENGTS250 DK/DI/1GD3 video card.
Fourth Week (Accounts created on or before November 16, 2005) THIS WOULD BE WHERE I FALL SINCE I CREATED MY OWN ACCOUNT 12/18/04
5 Prize packages consisting of 1 SteelSeries QcK Limited Edition Mousepad, 1 SteelSeries World of Warcraft MMO Gaming Mouse, and 1 SteelSeries Siberia V2 Full-Size Headset.
Fifth Week (Accounts created on or before November 23, 2004)
- 3 Prize packages consisting of 1 ASUS ENGTX260/HTDI/896M Nvidia video card, 1 Game Card redeemable for one year of World of Warcraft game time, and 1 Autographed Onyxia Print with an approximate retail value of $19.99.
- 2 Prize packages consisting of 1 ASUS Republic of Gamers 3D Vision enhanced laptop, 1 Game Card redeemable for one year of World of Warcraft game time, and 1 Autographed Onyxia Print.

I’m with you Spooner, burnout city man. I still have my account active just to log on and celebrate 5 years come the day, damn it’s really been five years of my life down the shitter….. Anyways, here’s my gripe, Blizzard are some cheap fuckers….5 year sweepstakes and all they can afford is 27 price packages, are you kidding me. 27 prize packages across millions of players. How about that many per day FFS. So lets see, i’ve been playing since day one and that gives me a shot at not one, but two laptops!!! YAY!! Come on, that shit listed should at least be per server, maybe even per day. Christ, my subscription fees from the last five years will cover the shit they are giving away.
I’d happily play WoW again if there was more than 1 single person worth playing with and he’s pretty much dubbed it down to a handful of hours a week if that even.
