There was a known issue where players in the Stormpeaks doing… something, was causing the server to crash. By server I mean the Northrend continent.
Storm Peaks is crashing because of an Art/Engine related bug. There is no way we can hotfix Storm Peaks. We’ll need to patch to fix it. (src)
The same can be said about Icecrown where Arthas and the bulk of his army resides.
Those zones were also causing issues. Unfortunately, we can’t hotfix those areas so you’ll have to wait until the next patch for them to be available. (src)
Blizzard reps ahve said hands down that Icecrown (the zone and such) will be ready for the release of Wrath of the Lich King but that the raid zones and such within will be slated for a patch much much later in the cycle of the expansion.
