I guess that video of 5 Death Knights killing everything in Hellfire Citadel made the developers panic. I resign myself to the mentality that it’s not a game breaking issue to have Death Knights level quickly through outdated crap content.
I mean seriously how many of you are going to abandon your alts right away as if they were on fire and trying to sodomize you the moment Northrend opens up? Outland is going to become a freaking GHOST TOWN of a continent.
I’ve already collected my level 70 gear for my Death Knight so I rely as little as possible on instance drops and difficult group quests.
About the new Death and Decay
I’ll be clearer. Death and Decay does more damage and scales better now. It’s not Consecrate, but it’s not bad. It will work to establish initial threat on a group or just do dps if that’s your thing. It won’t be something you spam like Consecrate, but it will hit harder without allowing 5 DKs to trivialize an instance with it. (src)
