I didn’t even know people used the built in voice chat. The quality of it is staggeringly bad and it’s way too much like listening to the moronic children on XBOX Live prattle on about this and that in any BG I dare enter. I think the voice chat feature was active for all of 3 minutes when it went live for me before I turned it off for good.

I don’t know it was a big stink while Blizzard kept holding back content releases and bug fixes to get their built in voice chat thing working. There was an overwhelming amount of players that really didn’t give a crap and didn’t want built in voice.

I’d venture to say the extreme minority wanted it, got it, and it’s not anywhere nearly as successful as Blizzard had hoped it would be. Granted it’s a good idea on paper, but when the servers are down, when I’m switching characters, when I’m just not online; the voice chat doesn’t work. So if using Vent or Skype or Teamspeak was NOT broken, then why are we still trying to fix it?
