Tigole’s Bear mount update.
Yesterday I made mention that Tigole announced Blizzard’s plans to remove the Amani Bear Mount from the game. It makes sense because Blizzard wants to keep the mount as a sort of status symbol, like titles were in the old PVP system. Basically it means that when new players join the game after Wrath is launched, if they see somebody riding the Amani War Bear they’ll know “Hey that guy pulled off the Zul’Aman timed challenge before the level cap was raised.” We all can agree that tearing through ZA at level 80 is going to be insanely easy especially when the mount is a 100% guaranteed drop off the last chest.
However it seems that Tigole did hear our please for some kind of bear mount in the future. Polar Bear sound cool? (src) Yes, it sounds very cool. More little leaks of information here and there folks, we’re getting closer and closer to some major information.

I still think there’s a better way of doing this than just pulling the bear mount altogether. For instance, if the player pulls it off while level 70 or lower the mount still drops. Level 71 and up the bear doesn’t drop. This way people still have a chance to get the mount AND it will still the accomplishment Blizzard wants it to be.

Yeah they said that an epic item that is “worth the effort and is still a GREAT item” is going to replace the bear mount. I don’t see how adding an item that isn’t a mount, can replace a mount. It’s apples and oranges.
