Welcome to another HOLY SHIT moment on Spooncraft.

Just got back home and I’m angry at myself for not thinking about this before. So, the new big announcement that Blizzard is going to make. It could be many different things. So far they have added icons from each of their developed games which could mean that we’re going to see a complete new title that has nothing to do with Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft or any other already existing Blizzard franchise. Also this could just be a dead end for people to follow so they won’t be anywhere near the correct answer until Blizzard has their release.

The ice looks alot like the minerals that are gathered in the Starcraft universe for unit production and the whole “cold, icey, frozen” thing could be another dead end to throw us off. The Diablo stuff all around including the Battle.net forum could be a dead end, or the “ice” on the screen could be a play on words for Hell freezing over since we’re getting a Diablo game. Could also be the World Stone.

Kenzi seems to think that it’s a WotLK announcement that the Death Knight class will be able to start playing in a patch 3.0, applied before the game ships allowing people to level their Death Knights before Northrend so they can play at the same pace as everybody else on release day. It would actually make sense with Blizzard having launched a new online store (digitally download WotLK? Pre-Order it from there allowing the creation of the Death Knight?) it also makes a shit-ton of sense because it will give Blizzard a legit and strong sense of balance so they can see how the Death Knight will play out with the existing classes. Before Burnign Crusade came out we got a big patch that let everybody have their new 41 point talents (which were originally only 31) so it only makes sense that they will do so again.

There was a post on the forums that was deleted fast as all hell which means a moderator killed it, which means it had some truth to it OR it was breaking some other violation.

At the same time my wife is pretty conifdant that the eyes we see in the image are that of a Protoss. At the same time Diablofans.com has been digging into this mystery in a very big way and got the probably bullshit tip that the hidden CSS images spell out TYRAEL IS LOST which would be a 100% guarantee of Diablo 3 since the Archangle Tyrael was a big deal and kind of left you with a cliffhanger at the end of the game.

We won’t know until the WWI08. I plan on staying up tonight until 4:00AM to give you a first glace at the next splash screen with some cheering, screaming, downright crazy commentary too.
