The thread was sparked after yesterday’s interview between Gamespy and Tom Chilton. Essentially, Chilton stated that the Blizzard development teams have strong public and private ties with the community. There are raid and dungeon designers that are pretty close with top end raiding guilds constantly sharing information, as well the same can be said about the best PVPers in the game having some connection with the developers and class designers too. He even went on to say that one of the class designers was the guild leader of the world’s top PVP guild.

The thread in the official forums is pretty long and there’s a lot of flaming going on but Bornakk has been active in the thread and some good informaton is coming from it.

I brought up a question regarding roleplaying that is going to be talked about in the next Blizzcast. It’s not exactly a mountain of information as it’s only one question, but it talks about some things I’m looking forward to seeing so I hope that helps a bit. The RP community hasn’t gotten much word on anything let alone any spotlight aside from the butt of a joke. Roleplaying really isn’t my thing, I like the game a lot and will find myself gearing or speccing or even tailoring my character with roleplaying themes in my head; but I never have and never will play on an RP server for more than 10 minutes. I don’t knock it, but it’s just not my thing.
