PVP concerns for early Wrath of the Lich King levels.

Actarius on the WoW General forums makes a valid argument. I’m born and bred from a PVP server and as much as I like the flat out chaos that can be any contested zone on my server, sometimes I just want the bullsh-t to stop for a few minutes.

Q u o t e:
im concerned about pvp servers coz well, im in one.

anyway, i wonder how we are going to quest once WOTLK comes out.. the early questing zones would be MASSED with tons of players and there would be a giant battlefield there and stuff..

i wonder how itl all work out.

(i didnt experience how it’s like when BC came out though.. hellfire was a huge battleground too i guess)

We have two points of entry that will be available to Northrend. We wanted to spread the population out a bit more unlike having one inlet to Outland and having everyone start in the same area. I’m sure there will be plenty of PvP opportunities as well, so if you want PvP, you can still get it, but you won’t be starting off stacked on top of each other. (src)

“Oh but Spooner you’re a sissy, Tarren Mill and Southshore and WORLD PVP is fun! Go carebear on a PVE server nyah!”

Seriously, it’s the best and worst thing about the internet that anybody can voice their minds. That includes all the ree-ree organ donors that need to just get shot in the face and stop stealing my oxygen.

What may be amazing fun for you, really isn’t as much for the person next to you. I try to remain objective when discussing this stuff but really, there’s just too much grey space to wade through. When TBC launched and everybody and their mother went through the Dark Portal at the same time, the servers went on strike and the game was pretty much unplayable for a good while.

Trying to complete a quest or explore or do anything other than fight in a nonstop bloody battle with the latency was pretty much impossible.
