It sounds crazy and yet intriguing to me. I’ve said before, arenas in WoW are NOT real arenas. It’s some bastardized version of what a classic FFA arena was in ancient times. The concept of NPC combatants for practicing or even NPC combatants in general around the world would be great. How awesome would it be to have your city sieged by a group of Alliance or Horde NPCs that players can rally behind? I suspect that would be turbo-awesome. Blizzard has the tech, look at the Sunwell Isle for example, NPCs are constantly fighting each other there. But for the sake of arena practice, meh, doesn’t seem like it would help at all.

Generally speaking the mechanics and actions of a fight against an NPC is pretty different compared to PvP fighting. The skirmish Arena modes are available for you to get practice in and get used to all of the options your character has available.

That said we will consider this for the future but I can’t make any guarantees on it. (src)
