Let me show you something. Penguins are black & white flightless birds found in Northrend. Tuskarr breed penguins as farm animals. It seems that wild penguins are led by a large member of the race known as the Penguin King. That comes from the Wiki. As well if you played Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne then you probably got to see some of these little buggers in the game. More information after the break.

It’s been pretty much all over the internet and even briefly on the official forums. Rizz posted a big thread about this (well, many threads) a while back as well petitioning for penguin pets in the game. Obviously they’re going to be critters or mobs in Northrend so here’s a little sneak peak at your friend the Penguin.

Now it’s not confirmed or announced at all if the new collector’s edition pet will be a baby penguin or if they’ll go with the whelp theme like the Netherwhelp in Burning Crusade, as there also exists a baby undead Frostwyrm whelp in Northrend.
