No additional profession slot in Wrath of the Lich King.

I understand and I guess agree with Blizzard in that they don’t have any plans (means no) to add a 3rd primary profession slot into the game. As it stands now you can take two professions and then you’re done. Yeah you can have first aid and cooking and fishing but those are secondary professions. Primary professions are like mining, skinning, blacksmithing, and sodomizing but you can only have two at any given time which kind of sucks if you’re a Lv. 70 enhancement shaman that had 375 mining/blacksmithing and then when you drop both to get skinning and leatherworking maxed out Blizzard decides to bring the Dragonstrike within your grasp OH! and now you can dual wield them…

I really shouldn’t have dropped smithing /facepalm

We have no current plans to add another main profession slot to characters in Wrath of the Lich King. (src)

Anyway, this exact situation is pretty much the reason a lot of players want a 3rd professions slot. It takes A LONG FREAKING TIME to level any professions to 375. Come level 80 when everything is pushed to the 450 cap, it makes you wonder “hell, do I EVER want to take a professions to 450 and then end up dropping it because Blizzard makes XTZ change?”

Granted this would water things down and would hamper individual development for each profession, but it brings about the debate about which professions are garbage and which are awesome. Gathering professions 41are always good money makers depending on your server, enchanting is usually a complete cluster fuck to level and even at max level doesn’t really do jack since you make your money selling mats instead of actual enchants at the moment. What do you think?
