Keeping in line with all these crazy new changes to how useful Heroic Badges are, it seems Blizzard is stepping up and making all the sexy end game gems now purchasable with the coveted Badges.

I can only speculate that Blizzard is making it so that in the final months on the Burning Crusade, us players will have completely unrestricted access to all the game content thus not repeating the problems with the transition from Pre-BC WoW to the expansion. Anybody remember farming essences or arcane crystals for hours on end?

Another little theory buzzing around in my head is that Blizzard is testing to see how often we really do use heroic badges and how popular it’s going to be amongst the community. That way they can justify including heroic badges as well as motes, primals, and so forth in Wrath of the Lich King.

All I know is that as soon as Wrath hits BETA and we get to see the future of crafting, the market is going to take a hit either in a very good or very bad way.
