New Heroic attunement?

When I found out (on the PTRs) that you could get attuned for Heroic Magister’s Terrace only by beating it in normal mode with the quest, I damn near did a backflip. Obviously the reputation grind is not a big deal at all but I’ve noticed it’s a real pain for players who are either new or stopped playing before BC came out.

I personally have a lot of friends that have recently come back to the game and raced to 70 so we could play together again. Having to explain daily quests, the changes to everything, heroic dungeons and such hasn’t been easy. Things were VERY different back when 40 of us were chugging around the Molten Core and Black Wing Lair. So having to get rep, then buy a key, and so forth is a pretty new and kind of awkward set of hoops players have to jump through to get access.

In Magister’s Terrace by completing a quest (which involves beating the instance) automatically gives you not only about 25 gold, but an epic red gem and auto attunes you to the heroic mode. I love this, the players all love this, maybe Blizzard does too?
