New content isn’t ONLY on the Sunwell Isle.
I won’t be the first or the last to say it but, there is going to be complete fscking chaos on Eredar regarding the Sunwell isle. What a lot of people won’t be realizing is that there are TONS of things to do in this patch that aren’t localized on the Isle of Quel’Danas. More after the cut.
If you go to Silvermoon City you’ll notice that M’uru isn’t there anymore and that Kael’s forces have stolen him in the night (while we’re waiting for the servers to come up) and budding young horde paladins have to syphon their holy powers from the dazed and dilapidated magisters.
All of Shattrath City is at full alert. The forces of the Scryers and Aldor that once filled the city streets are now in full combat heavy arms and drilling constantly preparing to be shipped out to the Sunwell for active duty. They’re now officially indoctrinated into the Shattered Sun Offensive and are sporting those badass tabards. You can also see the exchanges between the Blood Knights and A’dal in the main sanctum if you’d like to get a sneak peek into the future of the elvish light swingers.
All the immersion and detail aside, there are many new quests as well outside of the Sunwell area. First from Emissary Mordin, who is just a bit north of the flightmaster, you’ll get a quest called “Gaining the Advantage.” Mordin tells you that his colleagues in Stormwind can make oils to strengthen the blades and armor using Nether Residue found on herbs, ore, and beasts. Unfortunately, that means you must be a miner, a skinner, or an herbalist to do this daily quest. Luckily I’m a Dragonscale LW and skinner. In return, he offers 16 gold and 2 Major Rejuvenation Potions.
The Blood Elf NPC next to him, Lord Torvos, also sends you ona daily quest to the Netherstorm to obtain attack plans from Kael’s forces there (any will do) and in return you get a Shattered Sun Supplies bag (that might contain a heroic badge!) and 10g.
Finally if you head over to Harbinger Haronem by the Scryer bank, you’ll notice he’s being harassed by a Gnomish inventor named Whirligig Whizzlefry. Haronem will ask you to help him get some of the gnome’s research done so he can have some peace, and gives you some goggles, instructing you to go to Nagrand near Oshu’gun, and use them to find and take readings on clouds appearing near there. Like Torvos before him, he will also offer a box of supplies and 10 gold. This is just insanely easy money folks, and with 25 daily quests to do now it’s going to be much easier to get that epic flyer you always wanted.
But it’s not just Sunwell stuff, you can go to Nagrand in tellar or Garadar and get a daily PVP quest to kill enemy players in Halaa. You can go to Terrokar as well and from your respective faction towns you can get a quest to take the towers located around Auchindoun. Better yet is the Alliance and Horde warmasters are now sitting in the middle of the their posse offering the daily BG quest but as well offering a repeatable quest where you can turn in marks from each BG for a solid 314 honor per tunr in. The first turn in also gives you 12g but just once.
As well the arena has had some major revamps regarding que time and the goblin NPC that you speak to to que for an arena is now located across from the horde battlemasters in his own tent with some body guards. Less clutter!
Finally there’s the changes to current raid encounters. Magtheridon has been nerfed, all 25 man bosses now drop a lot more gold as well as 3 set gear tokens instead of the previous 2 and even heroic badges.
