I posted about this a while back around the time when Patch 2.4 information was first being released; there exists a set of gear that will be a blue quality PVP set that mirrors most arena gear only in that the stats are much lower by comparison.

You can get the gear simply by having reputation with the Outland factions. The original requirement was honored with some and revered with others but in the latest build all the reputation requirements has been normalized to Honored rep. like the heroic keys.

Personally I think this is great for new 70’s that want to try and PVP and actually stand a chance. I can’t agree at all with hardcore PVP players saying that it’s OP and ridiculous to have a PVE requirement to get PVP gear because the gear itself isn’t very amazing. I mean really look at it. Taking a full set of any of these new blue items into an arena and you’re still not going to be able to compete on a serious scale, however it will be a little less painful for new players just getting into the BG game in the 70’s bracket.

I intend on using this gear to actually have some elemental & resto items since currently I think I have all of two pieces. Screens after the cut.
