The Sunwell event and unlocking of goodies in the new zone is a point of concern for players on low-population realms because there simply not enough people to turn in dailies and get the ball rolling. I know my server is at 91% as of this morning and should be well into Phase 2 by sundown.

As I reported before there IS an auto-timer in effect that is set to certain dates where if content is not unlocked it will be freed up right away. Drysc explains further.

Each phase includes an “auto complete” time, in which case the next phase will automatically begin if your realm is falling behind. It’s around double the amount of time for it to auto complete as compared to what we estimate an average realm will finish each phase in. (src)
