Hunter Scare Beast revised in Patch 2.4.2

So this is just for the Hutners out there. Blizzard clearly doesn’t have to explain themselves when they make a class change, hell most of the time they don’t and say something like “The developers felt this change had to go through and we don’t have any plans at this time to XYZ

However with the Scare Beast change, Blizzard did give a good and reasonable explanation as to the reason behind their decision.

That is correct, the 30 yard range will remain. It is only the the instant cast change that was reverted back to a 1.5 second cast time, because it was felt that it was too strong against Feral Druids. The tool tip still says that it is an instant cast though, but please note that this is not correct and will be fixed in a future patch.

We realize that some of you may be disappointed that you weren’t getting the buff to the ability that you anticipated, but please keep in mind that it’s certainly not a nerf. The instant cast change was simply too strong, and as a result, it was reverted back to its original cast time of 1.5 seconds. (src)

It sucks when you feel let down by a class change that was highly anticipated but try to keep your head. Changes, nerfs, buffs all come and go and the whole cycle keeps spinning. As other classes are changed, the expansion comes out giving new talents and abilities, as new gear is introduced everything will keep changing and that’s part of the fun of an MMO.
