About
My name is Rick Suarez. I have been playing World of warcraft for over three years; I enjoy raiding, PVP, theory-crafting, exploring lore, leveling, questing, and even some roleplaying. I haven’t done everything there is to do in this game but pretty damn close to it. I have taken both Alliance and Horde characters to the end game cap of 70 and have been a avid Warcraft fan since Orcs & Humans. I’ve never been exactly a hardcore player nor have I been the casual type that logs on once a week. I have always been more of the middle ground player focusing on all aspects of the game at different times. One week it’s nothing but PVP like a blood crazed lunatic, the other it’s raid dungeons until the sun comes up.
I have played a human warrior to Lv. 70 and spent a long time tanking as this was my first and only end game character for a long time (back when 60 was the cap). I took a break from the Alliance before the expansion and played an orc shaman and have been in love with the class since then. I managed to get rank 9 before the PVP system changed and I inevitably went back to the Alliance for friends. Since then I have a Lv. 70 Draenei shaman which managed to get to the T5 level before being permanently retired. I honestly can’t do the Alliance thing anymore and all of my personal friends have either moved on from the game or play horde now, with me! FOR THE HORDE!
This blog began as an experiment in free time. I have always maintained a deep passion for gaming and can’t seem to break away from topics involving the World of Warcraft, so this site was just part of my natural insanity. It launched Febuary 8th of 2008 and has been growing like crazy since then to all of our surprise. Currently the site is updated daily usually once an hour and pulls sources from many other sites and blogs in order to maintain references concurrent and accurate. Essentially this is your one stop source for all things Gaming & Warcraft.
Spooncraft is syndicated solely via website for now but an RSS feed and possibly other means of distribution are coming soon.
PERSONAL BIO
And now a little bit about the man behind the madness. I’m in my mid-20’s and live in South Florida (US). I am married to a insanely beautiful gamer wife with two wonderful children and a mildly retarded dog. Although I am Cuban I was born here in the states not too far from where I reside now. I was an English Literature major at Florida International University and never really finished my degree, but have always been an avid writer since I was little. I am very much into body art (ink) and consider video games an art form in their own right.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and get to know me a little better.
