Holy shit guys, if Mass Effect 2 wasn’t completely owning my ass right now enough, their first paid DLC is coming out in April and it looks to be the most amazing iteration yet. Right now I’m sitting on my Eviscerator shotgun, my infiltrator recon hood, my completely overpowered sentinel that’s 1 shotting husks with [...]

Any World of Warcraft fan knows about the big money Acti-Blizzard rakes in, but the MMO business goes far beyond that as seen in a recent U.S. study. A report on Gamasutra shows that U.S. gamers have spent almost 15 times more than other substantial MMO markets in Europe.
The report showed that over 46 million [...]

I play pretty much 100% as Terran during the StarCraft II Beta so far. I played a little as Zerg and Protoss in some custom games but honestly, they got boring to me. I don’t dig the play-style of warping in as the toss or having only one production building as zerg. Anyway here are [...]

Sometimes it’s the little things that show they care. In Star Trek Online the folks over at Cryptic launched a release calendar which will be updated with important releases such as patches or in game updates. With this and last week’s introduction of the Engineering reports feature STO continues to add the little things that [...]

Here’s how the system works: As you spend points in a given talent tree, you’ll receive three different passive bonuses specific to that tree. The first bonus will increase your damage, healing, or survivability, depending on the intended role of the tree. The second bonus will be related to a stat commonly found on gear [...]

Terrans can upgrade their units faster which is awesome considering that it was taking an exponentially long time to get your units to be as formidable in the mid/end-game. Zealots too were nerfed some which means maybe I won’t have to stomp so many super early Zealot harassment moves.
There is a 4th Patch out now [...]

It’s going to take weeks to scrape myself off the ceiling. Game Informer announced that its April 2010 cover story is none other than Portal 2! Valve even gave it a release window of “this holiday season.” The Game Informer site says it will have a 12-page feature on the game and that Portal 2 [...]

So I just finished writing an interesting article for the For the Lore podcast. I’m a co-host on the show (for those few readers that don’t know) and Roger asked me to put a piece up on the upcoming World of Warcraft world event where the Trolls of the Horde retake their home of the [...]

“These are dark times. Times without hope. What motivates a man to confront the challenges most of us would run from…”
Every time I watch the trailer I get chills. Maybe it’s the music, the fact that it looks amazing, Patrick Stewart, or simply because it’s Castle-fucking-vania. Here’s the trailer once again for you folks to [...]

I’m not done by a longshot with my first playthrough on Mass Effect 2 and I haven’t even picked up Mass Effect 1 (settle down) but I’m already completely enthralled by the title and can’t wait for the next DLC to come out later this month.
The Hammerhead assault vehicle is coming to the Cerberus Network [...]

There are plenty of posts out there that sum it all up for classes but I could give a rat’s ass about the lesser classes.
Let’s talk about Warrior and Rogue.
I officially hate my Paladin and he’s pretty much been shelved until further notice. Which means I’m not logging on him for shit until well after [...]

The changes to in game mechanics and stats has finally been revealed to us via a forum post earlier today. It’s nothing new or shocking that I’m overly excited at these changes. The core of the combat in this game is fine for an MMO, it still has a simple yet artful sense to it [...]
