Super Secret Mini-Project under construction…
Hey little tiny update. I post when I can and when I have something to post, but I haven’t killed this site at all. I’m currently working with the boys from the podcast on something special that should be pretty damn incredible.
On the side, I’m also working on a little something by myself for you all still reading and visiting here.
In real life news, I got a great job that eats my time from 9am-7pm on weekdays and then there’s gym time, kid time, wife time. Family is doing much better as well and a big thank you for the kind words and prayers and good wishes. I’m hustling double-time right now to bring you readers something sweet from the Beta test too since by some miracle of God I got into it with the first wave.
PS: Spoonwolf on Lost Isles (US-PvE) Beta Test Realm if any of you are in the beta and want to /poke the Lv.32 Worgen.

Deathwing’s Bigger than Stormwind
Just thought I’d put this image out there since I got some requests for it and since the last time I showed Deathwing it spurred some conversation on the matter of how big he is and how Epic he should be as such a massive lore figure and villain. So here you go folks, he’s about the size of a capital city.

Just the Facts Ma’am
So there’s a lot of HURR DURR going on around the greater gaming interwebs that’s pitting WoW against SWTOR for the next big holy shit MMO. Let’s get a few things straight shall we? That’s right girls and boys it’s another World of Warcraft vs Other MMO post! For the record though, I’ll be playing Cataclysm and WoW for that matter until the servers shut down. Of this I’m mostly confident. I’ll be picking up SWTOR with my bros when its released if not a month after and play as the Republic (fuck the Empire)

WTF is going on in Post-Cataclysm Azeroth?
So in no particular order, here is some of the shit happening in Azeroth in all our old favorite zones after the great Cataclysm strikes. All of this information was gathered through various quests and the likes. Some stuff wasn’t implemented yet (NYI) which kind of sucks but you get the picture. (Also here is a picture of ONYXIA brought back from the dead, gonna enjoy that fucking fight baby…)
Blackrock Caverns:
- Goblins forged Deathwing’s metal plates here.
- The Twilight Hammer are experimenting on a captured Gronn by infusing it with dragon blood.
- Dragonspawn mobs are actually regular orcs and humans who have “ascended” into their new bodies.
- Corehounds are bred here.
Hyjal:
- Jarod Shadowsong has been captured by the Twilight Hammer.
- Fandral Staghelm needs to be escorted out of the Barrow Dens because he is going to be kidnapped.
- Ysera forces Ragnaros to return to the Firelands.
- Ragnaros and Deathwing are working together.
Westfall:
- Admiral Ripsnarl, Vanessa VanCleef, an ogre-magi, and a goblin rogue are the new bosses in Deadmines.
- The Defias Brotherhood is reborn.
- Sentinel Hill ends burnt down by the Defias.
- Air Elementals are escaping from a vortex here.
- There’s a spoof on CSI: Miami and they kill off a lot of NPCs us Alliance players know and love/hate (Old Blanchy).
Tanaris:
- The Southsea pirates make a comeback.
- The Goblins begin building their own naval fleet here.
- The Blood Elves set up their own version of the Explorer’s League.
- The Watchers (including Tyr and Loken) from Ulduar have a cameo outside of Uldum in a flashback quest.
- The trolls outside Zul’farrak are now dire trolls.
- There is a chain of arena quests in Gadgetzan.
- The goblins are recruiting the unfriendly ogres in the zone into the Horde.
Thousand Needles:
- Completely flooded. Deep abyssal underwater area in the old raceway full of jellyfish and other crazy things.
- The Gnomes and Goblins have joined together here to fight the new pirates in the zone and have built their own ship.
- Centaur are no longer in the zone because they can’t swim lol.
- Grimtotem tauren are fighting naga here.
Darkshire:
- The Night Watch intentionally became worgen to better defend the town. FUCK YEAR BADASS!
- The Nightmare Dragon here has disappeared and has been replaced by a group of Twilight Hammer cultists trying to infiltrate the Emerald Dream
- The undead here have re-grouped under a disgruntled Lich from Arthas’ old Scourge.
Redridge Mountains:
- The Blackrock Orcs have regrouped in this zone (being kicked out of Blackrock Mountain). They have new camps throughout and are being lead by a veteran from the First Horde.
- The bridge has been repaired.
- The naga have moved in and have enslaved the murlocs here.
- There’s a giant fish in the lake that must be killed in a quest.

Don’t be alarmed, everything is pretty fucking crazy right now. I’m not done yet with my mega Alliance lore post but I have some of the Dwarf specific stuff.

Commence the Rage!
Since a lot of you folks’ servers will be down for a while (mine’s still up haha server-viagra) I figured I’d post this. My unabashed opinion on the MMO games we have access too now that actually got more than 100 subscribers.
- WoW: The casual MMO. Whoever puts the most time into it will emerge victorious. Not a lot of skill required but nerdcore players will argue this to the grave. Currently tip-top of the totem pole.
- EQ(2): An MMO for people who want so much mindless shit to do they don’t want to leave the house, but don’t want to play a Korean grindfest…
- Guild Wars: The MMO for people who want to stand in towns with no clothes on /dancing.
- City of Heroes/Villains: The first superhero MMO that ended up drowning itself to death with the implementation of player created content.
- Warhammer Online: The “WoW killer” that turned out to rip off what it wanted to get rid of a little too much.
- Aion: What was promised; westernized innovative epic taking place in an original setting. What was delivered: Korean grindfest.
- Champions Online: Cryptic’s attempt at making a more successful version of City of Heroes, which turned out to be a single player MMO. Even quests where 2+ people are recommended are soloable.
- Star Trek Online: Cryptic’s Sci-Fi re-skin of Champions Online. Still manages to score numbers because trekkies will buy wrapped dog shit if it has the Federation symbol on the package.
- EVE Online: Acts like it’s own autonomous virtual country. Other players would fucking you twice at once if they had two dicks. Plays by itself when you’re asleep.
Discuss.

Cataclysm: Twin Peaks Battleground
We like PvP. Most times we like it more than PvE. If the PvP system wasn’t so stupid right now we’d probably PvP a lot more but it might be too late to get in on the curve. That’s why we’re so excited about PvP in Cataclysm especially a new CTF map since Warsong is getting stale.
